Houghton Center for the Arts

The Center for the Arts started with a collaborative process with the college and RSA architects: master planning for enhancing the college’s arts programs, The outcome was to replace outdated smaller facilities with a new facility to house Houghton’s Greatbatch School of Music with Performance Hall, classrooms, offices, media center, and instrumental recital hall.  Also art, display gallery, outside performance plaza and arts library all rightsized to fit the master plan. The new 360 seat concert hall and coral rehearsal hall included stage house, rigging, lighting and sound systems, and music rooms. An atrium is at the center of the 36,000 square foot facility.
